Fred works for Customs Knowledge as an independent consultant. As a widely educated legal expert (Leiden-Tilburg-Rotterdam) and with over 35 years’ experience in different positions at several departments with the Dutch Tax Authority/Customs, he has knowledge and skills in all aspects of customs. Fred also has a lot of knowledge of sales tax in relation to customs law.
In addition, he works at LOI Hogeschool, in the fiscal law and economics departments as lecturer and programme director.
Fred was born in the province of Zeeland and lives in the province of Noord-Brabant, where his home on the Brabantse Wal offers a rolling view of magnificent Zeeland. Fred is married and father of two daughters. As a nature lover, he has different animals (cats, chickens and fish). He can spend hours playing chess, pondering away. But do not be afraid to disturb him for a fine melodious hard rock song.
